When you hear the word 'sensitivity,' you might associate it with negative words like 'dramatic', ‘too much’ or 'over the top.' Being sensitive doesn’t make you an out-of-control, emotionally unstable person. Usually, that's just the bad wrap sensitivity gets from other people who don't understand you- but that is NOT how we view sensitivity here at The Secret Society.
Yes, sensitivity can feel like A LOT to manage at times: Your beautiful mind and heart pick up SO much information throughout the day that it easily goes down rabbit holes of thought processes that are hard to resolve.

What's it like being a sensationally sensitive woman in a modern world?
Your experiences as a sensitive women can often lead to feelings of shame and the belief that being sensitive is a problem. But hiding, shrinking or pretending you're not sensitive isn't the answer. The problem is not that you're sensitive. The problem is you haven't learnt what supports you to thrive, yet.

When you’re upset there are not many people who would actually be able to hold space for your depth so you feel like you have few people to turn to on the hard days. Their attention spans for hold spacing for emotions feels like it's over in 2 minutes and you need two hours just to get your thoughts out.
You can feel resentful that you give SO much to others, but few can be there for you and how YOU need support. It feels like you give so much and receive so little, causing burnout.
There's a tussle within you: Some days you want to be fully yourself in all your sensitive glory and say what ever is on your mind, but other days you know people can’t hold space for you or will think you're nuts. You can't decide if you should just keep it inside or say 'Fk it- I am who I am, hear me roar!; But oh decisions! So hard to make. Around and around you go with the endless pro's and con's list.
You have LOTS of thoughts, all the time, that go create mental loops or head off in different directions, making you feel confused. You don’t know how to make the mind stop or how to come to a decision. The only reprieve you get is when you’re distracted or sleeping, so you often only know how to tune out with TV or social media to drown out the thoughts.
All the leaders in your life seem to be power-tripping, masculine, excel-spreadsheet and KPI-loving engineer brains who don't lead with empathy, softness, and understanding or a relatable human approach (that's my speciality.) You think you have to act like them to get anywhere in life, so you hide your true self.

If it is leading your life or colouring every experience, every interpretation and every reaction, we need to work to soothe, settle, and understand what’s going on beneath the sensitivity, because sensitivity in itself is not a problem and it's not your fault. The problem is actually that:

So few people will understand you in this world, but sensitive women will innately and instantly understand you. During times of stress, we can feel more anxious and so you need self-soothing tools and a community more than ever. Do I have to know if I’m a Highly Sensitive Person/Empath/Introvert or Indigo child?
No, I don’t care about any of those labels or if you fit a box or ‘meet the requirements.' If you’re here, you’re drawn to my work and you feel so aligned, then don’t get too caught up in a title, especially as there are crossovers with empaths, intuitives and introverts. There is no one size fits all experience and I’m not a fan of checklists: You are a rich, dynamic and interesting woman with many different experiences, parts of you and a unique life story.
I’m simply talking about working with gentle, thoughtful, perceptic, empathetic, kind women who know they respond and react more strongly to their environment and think, feel, process and analyse at deeper levels and length of time than others. If you have that inner knowing, Fk the title, you’re my dream!
What if I've never meditated or journalled before or have tried and haven't liked it?
The membership is based around meditation and journaling so if you truly truly dislike these modalities, this program is not for you. However, if you are interested or have tried before and want to get into it, but feel stuck or never know what to write or how to meditate, I can help you through that. In fact, that is exactly what it's designed to do: Give you the guidance and prompts to help you journal, which also helps you understand and explore different parts of the sensitive experience along the way. The guides I provide through the journal prompts and guided meditations take the guesswork out of it for you. I’ll give you journaling tips and a meditation overview to get you started. As long as you have an interest and an open heart, you’ll find your way and remember the prompt and meditations are specific for sensitive women. I've taught 100's of beginners how to meditate in a simple, accessible and uncomplicated way.
Can’t I just listen the billions of meditations online or yours on your Meditation Mecca?
Yes, I have a Meditation Mecca with many meditations that you can absolutely access, but the membership has new, specific meditations I’m developing for each monthly theme specific to sensitive women. This will be the only place you can access them for now. None of this membership pulls together stuff I’ve already created and throws it into this membership.
It's new, specifically designed and curated for your beautiful sensitive heart and mind. I haven't seen any collection of meditations for sensitive women so I’m going to create them!

How is this different from other memberships and online women’s circles?
There are many wonderful women's groups but this one's for sensitive women!
While I am a therapist, this is not a confronting group therapy program or mental health support group, but a connected, supportive community.
It's grounded in compassion, self-awareness and reflection. It’s not group therapy where we talk about all of our life problems. It's specific to the common challenges and opportunities you have as a sensitive woman to help you navigate your busy mind and emotional heart.
Every host brings their own flavour, personality and coaching style to group experiences, so I will 100% be sprinkling Gabriella glitter everwhere I go. I'm sassy, soulful, perceptive, humorous and an expert space-holder.
Is this a group therapy program?
No, this is a supportive connected community joined together by the desire to own, explore and understand better your sensitivities, not your mental health challenges. I know the reflections, insight, connection and relaxation you’ll gain will be healing, soothing and nourishing. This program is not designed as a mental health program and is not an appropriate level of support for mental health issues or ADHD.
While I am a therapist, I will not be providing individual counselling or therapy in this space, but guidance and coaching as your host.

Will this help my ADHD or Mental health?
While there are many similarities with the symptoms of anxiety, ADHD or other mental health challenges such as busy minds and tendencies to get overstimulated or overwhelmed, this is not an ADHD or mental-health specific support program. While meditation and journalling may help and support you to gain clarity and calmness, ADHD and/or other mental health will require their own direct support and guidance. You are most welcome to join if you have ADHD, anxiety or mental health challenges, and you will not be alone!
What if I already have my own meditation and journalling practice?
Brilliant! I absolutely love this for you and you already know the joys! This membership will add to your practices and give you more of what you love.
